I believe that true health begins in your kitchen.
I’m Tanya McCausland, your Holistic Nutrition Consultant. Food, cooking and eating are my passion, and I believe that true health begins in your kitchen.
My mission is to inspire my clients and students to put their health first by getting back into the kitchen and cooking simple, delicious meals that nourish, satisfy and are fun to make.
I love shopping… for food and for shoes.
I spent 2 ½ years working for the “Queen of the Home” Martha Stewart as a producer on her Sirius/XM radio channel in NYC. It was there that I met great chefs, learned from food experts and started cooking up a storm. I waved goodbye to Martha to move to the breathtaking San Francisco Bay Area and my food obsession took on a new direction. I couldn’t get enough of the farmers markets and began to learn about healing through whole foods. I attended Bauman College and became certified as a Nutrition Consultant with a focus on holistic and therapeutic nutrition.
I have taught nutrition and cooking classes to students in the Kitchen of Champions Program at St. Vincent de Paul in Oakland, CA and around the Bay Area. I teach executive wellness and health to business leaders and executives through Diamond6 Leadership and Strategy, LLC.
My practice is located at Simply Well – a health and wellness cooperative in Carlisle, PA. I counsel clients on an individual basis as well as teach classes, give grocery tours and conduct cooking demonstrations to the community.
I’ve gone from big city to big country and now live in Shermans Dale, PA (about 30 minutes outside of Harrisburg) with my husband Wes (aka “Mister Wes”), 45 hens, a rooster, and our cattledog Sky who stays busy by herding the flock in and out of the coop.
